Modern Communication in the Association: New Needs, New Formats

More than two years of the pandemic have led to fundamental changes in association communication and exchange with the own community. As activities have shifted to the virtual environment, traditional channels and face-to-face events have become less important, and the focus has been increasingly on broad-based online communication via internal and external platforms.

This presentation shows what winning strategies can be used to increase awareness of your messages. The multiple re-use of existing content in combination with modern communication and event formats as well as streaming on all available channels can achieve a large reach in the community with comparatively little effort. It also allows associations to reach out beyond their own membership and address new target groups. Using the example of the activities of the European umbrella organization AAE as well as the German Actuarial Association, concrete examples of successful communication activities will be presented.

The presentation is aimed in particular at representatives of small and medium-sized actuarial associations who want to improve the communication activities of their association despite limited resources.
