Cyber Risk and the Role of Insurance - Where are we at?

This paper will provide an update to one aspect of the Australian Actuaries Institute Cyber Risk Green Paper, relating to the role of cyber insurance, currently being authored by Win-Li Toh and others, and which is expected to be published in mid-2022. The ICA 2023 will take place a year on from publication of the Green Paper, and as the risks and the cyber insurance market are rapidly evolving, it will be timely to assess how some of the issues identified and the recommendations in the Green Paper are tracking.
